Light the wood burner in the impressive lounge with the wood panelling or amble through to the family room to watch TV. Prepare doggy dinners in the kitchen/diner and rustle up hearty feasts for everyone else to enjoy in grandeur in the dining room. Settle your canine chum in for the night then head upstairs to one of the three bedrooms, with super-king-size beds that can also be arranged as twins if discussed in advance. There are also two king rooms, one double and one twin. Two of these have en-suite shower rooms and there are three family bathrooms to use too. Take your pup pal outside to race about the grounds. Play games, swim in the warmer months and relax around the fire pit with your canine companion close by.
Plan long walks through the Shropshire Hills to keep tails wagging throughout your stay. Follow sections of the Offa’s Dyke long-distance footpath and find circular walks that take you in and out of North Wales and Shropshire. Make a picnic and arrange a day out to the National Trust’s Carding Mill Valley and the Long Mynd in the Shropshire Hills, 19 miles away, where four-legged visitors are welcomed with open paws.
