This bijoux apartment sits in a premier position in central Whitby and makes a great getaway for one or a romantic escape for two with your furry bestie by your side. Stroll to the shops and eateries, climb up to the ruined abbey, stretch your legs on the coast path or simply stay at home and relax as you watch the boats glide by.

In this cute and tiny space you and your canine companion can settle in and get really cosy. The downstairs room features a seating area and kitchenette. The kitchenette is equipped with a microwave, two-ring electric hob, fridge and ice box for your culinary needs – quick meals and snacks will be no problem. On this level there’s also a shower room and WC. Climb the steep, ladder-style staircase and you’ll find the charming bedroom level, with low ceilings and a feeling of snug comfort. From the double bed you can watch the Smart TV or the stars twinkle through the skylight as you drift off to sleep. When fresh air beckons, perhaps for a morning cuppa or a sundowner, the shared courtyard offers a space in which to sip a coffee or a glass of wine.

Make the most of Whitby’s sandy beaches with an exhilarating game of fetch – your pup will go mutts on Tate Hill Beach, dog-friendly all year round. Climb the 199 steps to wander around the site of the iconic Whitby Abbey, or head to the Cleveland Way National Trail for a scenic walk – north towards Staithes or south towards Robin Hood''s Bay. If you want to venture further afield, puff through the North York Moors on a heritage train to the Pickering and its 1930s-themed station.

I appreciate that given the name Dinky Cottage one would expect it to be small, but in reality it was little more than a cupboard. There was hardly room for 2 people to turn around downstairs and having paid extra to bring our dog, there was no room for a dog bed or for a dog to move around. Unfortunately when we arrived at the allotted time , the Read moreproperty had not been cleaned and there were dirty towels and laundry still in the property so we were unable to stay, although having paid for a week. Great location, close to centre of Whitby. Parking permits were great when space available - we unloaded on double yellows & moved to cheaper car park. Compact space but planned well - the ladder could be a challenge for some; reasonable level of fitness required. Lovely outside space. A few things missing-only one large plate & one teaspoon- Read morewe bought & left for future guests. No DAB radio we could find. Some attention to cleaning of old cobwebs & unfortunately previous guests left dirty glasses. Plentiful towels & lovely gift of local Parkin cake. Great bolthole for a few days. Hide

Cleaning needs improving, dirty floors and skirting boards , hair all over stair carpet, rubbish and dirt under bed. no parking permit left. Had to ring landlord several times. Only one dinner plate, mugs disgusting all stained , had to buy 2 as they were disgusting.
