Surrounded by open countryside, this beautiful lodge, 7 miles from Bude, is the perfect place for friends, families, and furry companions to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. You’ll have a fabulous range of onsite facilities to keep everyone – including the pups – entertained; in the evenings, take a woodland walk, play ball games in the fields, splash around in the indoor swimming pool, or get competitive in the games room or on the tennis court.
The lodge enjoys a secluded setting, away from the other holiday homes on the site. Enter the property into the warm and inviting, wood-clad lounge, where you’ll find ample space to set up the dog beds. Spend time here relaxing on the comfortable sofas and watching the Smart TV, or simply sit back and take in the far-reaching views. Patio doors open onto the decked area, which has furniture and a BBQ, extending the living space further in summer months. From the lounge, move through to the cosy kitchen/diner, which is equipped with everything needed for a self-catering break and a dining table to seat all four guests. The property has two delightful bedrooms – a double and a twin – and a stylish shower room.
You’ll have a great choice when it comes to paw-friendly beaches in and around Bude. Just 5 miles away is the wild and remote cove of Duckpool Beach, as well as the National Trust’s Sandymouth Bay (both welcome hounds all year). Bude’s main beach – Summerleaze – has a seasonal restriction during the day, but you and the woofers are welcome to enjoy early-morning walks and sunset strolls. Alternatively, stride out along the clifftop path for dramatic coastal views, or take a relaxing amble along the canal’s picturesque towpath, which is dotted with paw-friendly cafes and restaurants.
