Take a trip to the idyllic seaside town of Bamburgh in the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and stay in a cosy two-bed property with solid oak flooring, an open-plan living area and a sheltered garden. With a spectacular Anglo-Saxon castle on your doorstep plus sandy beaches and scenic dog walking routes surrounding you, there will be plenty to keep you busy when you''re not relaxing with your feet up in the lounge.

The ground floor of the property has an open-plan layout with warm tones and a hint of a coastal theme. Put a film on the TV and snuggle up on the sofas in the evening. Cook a homemade meal for your guests in the farmhouse-style galley kitchen with wooden surface tops and dine together at the table and chairs. There is also a separate laundry room. Upstairs is a family bathroom with a bath and a walk-in shower plus two bedrooms – a king-size and a twin room. Outside is a walled garden with a raised patio area and furniture.

During your stay in the heart of Bamburgh, you will have a handful of eateries, tea rooms and shops within 0.5 miles. But most impressively, the grand Bamburgh Castle, filled with knight’s armour and state rooms, which sits overlooking a golden sandy beach is also less than 0.5 miles away. Walk the coastal path to the nearby fishing village of Seahouses (3.5 miles), where you can hop on a boat to the Farne Islands. Further afield is Craster and the ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle (both 13 miles).

Lovely clean, warm and well equipped house in a great location. The dedicated parking space is definitely a bonus! Be aware though that this house is joined by an internal door to another holiday rental, and the door is not soundproofed (even though the sign says it is!) unfortunately we had to put up with a yappy dog and a crying baby next door whRead moreich was a shame and would put us off returning. Also the laundry facilities are shared, so again if you have inconsiderate neighbours it isnt ideal. Wed stay again but only if renting both properties together as part of a larger group. Hide

Greenleaf is a comfortable two bedroom cottage located at the rear of the adjoining property Greenhouse. The cottage is in a great location and would be comfortable for visitors with no dogs as they are not allowed upstairs, which was not communicated to us at any time, found out when we arrived. It is very dark and needed the lights on all the time if in. Someone also just walks in to move bins, not very safe if my dog was in the garden at the time, we were not told someone would just come in as it asks in the info to please put bins out. Overall nice but as I had to sleep downstairs on the sofa because I had a dog, I would not stay again Hide
