Get all of your loved ones together at this peaceful farmhouse set in beautifully-landscaped gardens in the village of Combe Raleigh. This cosy home-away-from-home sleeps ten people across four bedrooms and welcomes two canine companions – making it the perfect retreat for large families or groups of friends who want to explore the south Devon countryside with their pups in tow. Spend happy days exploring the picture-perfect village and contented evenings cuddling up with your faithful friends in front of the glowing wood burner in the cottage’s living room.

Step inside and you’ll discover a beautiful oak-panelled entrance hall leading to a spacious living room that boasts a whole host of beautiful period features. Make yourself at home before heading to the farmhouse-style kitchen/diner to prepare dinner. Host a sociable meal in the smart dining room or head out to the covered BBQ terrace and dine alfresco. After dinner, take in the views across the lake to the Blackdown Hills from the light-filled conservatory, or go for a stroll through the grounds, where you’ll find beautiful lakes, trickling streams and a pretty Italianate courtyard. Alternatively, retire to the cottage’s snug-style library to relax in front of the TV while your pups snooze by the wood burner. When the day is done, there are four beautiful bedrooms with period features to choose from.

Take your pups for a run on one of the beaches at Lyme Regis (17 miles), where East Beach, Church Cliff and Monmouth Beach welcome pups all year round. While you’re there, check out Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium, where your dog is welcome to join you as you spot starfish, lobsters and sea urchins. Beautiful classic cottage style farmhouse tucked away in the countryside, great for peace and relaxation, yet close enough to shops and town centre. Plenty of spacious living rooms to enjoy.

Charming cottage in a beautiful and very large garden. We enjoyed our stay very much, especially wandering around and sitting in the shade of the trees or in the conservatory. The big Aga in the kitchen was a special place, always cosy and fun to cook with. Coming from a country, where double beds are 1.80 to 2.00m, we found it a little difficult Read moreto share king sized beds as two people. They are 1.50 resp. 1.40m which we thought quite small. The owner, Liz, always was very friendly and helpful. Thank you! Hide

Beautiful grounds and highly imaginative boat house and the island. The house and cottage are centred around a courtyard. The views from the house to Honiton are beautiful across the Valley and Woods. A more restful and idyllic location is hard to imagine.

Thank you for enabling a perfect family reunion at Hutchinghayes Farmhouse. Your house and gardens are magical. Everyone - from ages 3 to 80! - was delighted. The house was perfectly appointed: we wanted for nothing. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable, and the sheets immaculately ironed (please extend our thanks to the lovely Hazel). ARead morell was in great taste, including the fabulous collection of books that truly can suit every. The internet was also surprisingly fast and reliable. As a keen gardener, I was of course delighted to be able to stroll in your beautiful gardens and to admire the wisteria, roses, climbing hydrangeas that grace the buildings, as well as to walk about the ponds. My heart skipped a beat at the magical boathouse. The wider area is also stunning. Particular highlights were the Pig at Combe in Gittisham, Branscombe, the cliff walks on the Golden Cap, the drive to the Five Bells and, of course, Dartmoor National Park. We stopped at Stourhead along the way, which I would recommend to anyone coming from the East. Thank you again for your warm welcome, flexibility and responsiveness throughout. With a bit of luck, we will return. In the meantime, we will let people know what a wonderful place you have created. Best, Marie-Claude and Sherman Hide

Lovely well equipped house. We visited for a week in April with 6 adults, 2 young children and 2 dogs. The extensive grounds allowed for exercising the dogs and were very attractive. The house was warm and furnished to a high standard with plenty of space in the communal rooms. We made good use of the games room and conservatory. The owner is helpfRead moreul and on hand if required. Having 2 small children dictated how we spent our time. We visited the donkey sanctuary, free and much better than expected. Pecorama, half price this year, good train ride and playground. Seaton Tram way and wetlands, excellent, with a visit to Seaton for fish and chip lunch. Lyme Regis beach and fossil hunting, check the tides. We would highly recommend Otter farm and ice cream just a few mins drive away.. Hide

We had a lovely stay, the property is gorgeous and has a great kitchen and conservatory, lovely little study and games room. The gardens in particular were immaculate and really spectacular - such a treat for us and our dogs. We would definitely recommend this property.
