This characterful two-storey property is tucked away on the owner's farm, offering stunning rural views and space for your pooch to roam. Embark on dune-backed walks and beachside scrambles before heading home to a toasty wood burner in this cosy, family-friendly cottage.

Inside this reverse-level holiday home, you'll find a spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with high ceilings, a wood burner, exposed brickwork and original beams – the perfect recipe for home comfort. While your four-pawed pal dreams of chasing local wildlife, humans can dish up delicious dinners in the modern kitchen and serve them around the dining table inside or out. The shared onsite laundry room also comes in handy for running through damp doggie towels. Down on the ground floor, get squeaky clean in the family bathroom before climbing into bed in one of two lovingly decorated double bedrooms, one with additional single and one with additional z-bed on request. Give your hound a good run in the morning with a game of fetch in the exercise field, followed by leisurely breakfasts out on the lawn.

Tire out furry friends with a walk along the blissful shores of Instow (2.5 miles). While you're here, take the opportunity to sample local produce in the mini-supermarket or sit outside one of the many pooch-friendly pubs for a hearty meal. Across the estuary, the historic fishing village of Appledore (7 miles) offers cute pastel houses, a network of winding narrow streets, and quality seafood, including salmon, bass and cod. Westward Ho! (7 miles) is another seaside haven, with arcades and vast sandy shores for your pooch to ramble (seasonal restrictions apply).

The cottage was beautiful, in a wonderful location. We would have preferred to have known beforehand that our dog wasnt allowed on the furniture or our bed, other ads made that clear before booking hence we didnt book them. Luckily we took our dogs bed and mostly sat on the carpet to make sure the dog didnt jump up on the sofas.

The cottage was clean comfortable and had everything we needed. The owners we very helpful with suggestions of places to visit. The views from the lounge were stunning, the lounge was on the upper floor.

We really enjoyed our stay. The position suited all ages. The young folk went to Westward Ho! For the beach. The car boot sale at Bude was very busy but interesting. We seniors strolled round Appledore and Instow, visited Arlington Gardens and House, Tapeley gardens, and coffee shops. The weather got a little hot but the large cool lounge was good.Read more We used the very useful BBQ and ate outside at the picnic bench. There's plenty more places to visit on another occasion Hide

This property is beautiful in such a lovely and quiet setting, its a working farm and you can see some of the animals as you approach the property. The contact person is easily reached and easy to speak to. Very helpful and caring. They accommodated us so we could be as comfortable as possible.
