Cherish some quality time with your special someone at this charming stone-built cottage sitting in a pretty complex of properties in the peaceful village of Longhoughton. Sleeping two people in one bedroom and welcoming one canine companion, it's an ideal accommodation choice for couples who are dreaming of a romantic break on this fabulous stretch of the Northumberland coastline. During the day, take your dog to Sugar Sands to stroll along the shore, and in the evening, come home to the cottage's pretty garden to relax with a glass of wine as your pup runs free in the enclosed space.

Venture into this sweet single-story cottage and you'll find yourself in a welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area with a vaulted ceiling, exposed beams, charming stone accents and arched windows. Take a moment to make yourself at home in the lovely, large lounge area before heading to the chic kitchen area to cook up a storm. Enjoy a romantic dinner at the cosy dining table, or head out to the garden to dine alfresco while your pup runs freely in the enclosed space. After dinner, cuddle up in front of the TV while your pup rests at your feet. When it's time for bed, retreat to the bedroom, which features a lavish super-king-size bed. Completing the layout is the tastefully designed en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath. Please note the quirky bathroom door measures 179cm high, while the bathroom itself has a high ceiling.

Pack up a picnic and head to Boulmer Beach (2 miles), which is a haven for rockpool enthusiasts. At low tide, venture out with your pup and you'll find crabs and starfish. Alternatively, make your way to Craster Village (4.5 miles), which is famous for its delicious kippers. Watch the fishermen bring in the catch of the day and stop off to sample some smoked seafood at a local restaurant.

Really lovely small cottage, comfortable furnishings, and good quality kitchen equipment. Got a bit hot in the kitchen/ living room area at times due to the AGA cooker, but bedroom was cooler. Its an easy 20-25 minute walk down a lane to the nearest beach and access to the coast path.

Lovely cottage and everything we expected it to be. Have suggested a grab rail by the shower which is over the bath, very deep and not easy to climb in and out of. AGA was great - one from home.

A jolly good week. Make sure you go to Fox cafe on the first day and the Coop is good.

The accomodation is very well equipped and clean. It is convenient for the local Coop & a bakery/cafe is good & closeby. Our dog was happy and the garden was suitable for him. The Aga certainly keeps the whole place warm. It is a good location for visiting the coast and attractions such as Alnwick castle & gardens & not too busy.

We had an enjoyable stay. Comfortable & nice decor. Good location for what we wanted to see. Close to Alnwick and the shops. Far too hot with the AGA in the evenings, wouldnt want to be here in the summer. Car parking area is very tight, if you cant reverse then this accommodation is not for you. Thank you for the gifts which was much appreciated.
