Wannabe mountain dogs take note – this gorgeous farmhouse in West Wales is right near the top of the 408 m Llanllwni peak. The remote property also overlooks the wonderful Brechfa Forest, so as you can imagine, the walks and the views are truly spectacular. It welcomes up to five humans and an unlimited number of dogs, so your pets could easily outnumber you for a big furry party. Now that’s what we call dog-tastic! With its large enclosed garden and adjacent farming field, there’s ample opportunity for your pets to let off steam and for you to kick back in the gorgeous surroundings.
Enter into the foyer where you can store your coats and shoes and brush off any muddy paws. The welcoming lounge is a glorious place to relax with fellow guests and has a wood burner which tired pets will likely gravitate towards. Stretch out on the sofa and pop on the Smart TV for some entertainment while your pets doze contentedly on the rug. In the sunroom, soak up the fantastic views and catch up on some reading with a hot cuppa. The beautiful kitchen has appealing light blue units, a large wooden dining table for the humans, and plenty of floor space for the dogs’ water and food bowls. Outside, you’ll have a lawned space where the dogs can run free while you sizzle up some treats on the BBQ (extra sausages for the dogs, please!).
You can take the pets (on leads) for a tour of the surrounding open fields, along forest trails or through the nearby cemetery (150 m), all accessible without needing your car. The nearest amenities (shops, restaurants and pubs) are 6 miles away in Brechfa village. Brecon Beacons National Park starts just 19 miles away – more opportunities for excellent walkies – or you can head to the sea at Llangrannog (22.5 miles), whose spectacular sandy beach is dog-friendly all year round.
