Located down a quiet lane on the owner’s working farm, this fantastic cottage offers a peaceful getaway for a couple and their furry friend. It’s surrounded by gorgeous rolling hills, pastures and woodlands that you can explore with your partner and pet, and just 0.5 miles from a welcoming pet-friendly pub for quiet evening drinks. The property’s upside-down layout creates a pleasant and unusual holiday home which is a perfect springboard for discovering all the dog-friendly attractions nearby, such as the Yorkshire Dales National Park 11 miles away.

The ground floor of this quirky accommodation consists of a roomy double bedroom and shower room, and stairs leading to the bright, comfy lounge upstairs. This space is ideal for restful evenings in, perhaps watching a film on the Smart TV while your pet gets 40 winks on the carpet nearby. A steep open-tread stairway leads to a mezzanine level where you can relax with a book or magazine on the chaise longue. In the light and airy kitchen, large windows reveal lovely views over the surrounding woodland and there’s a table and chairs for candlelit dinners and extended brunches. There’s a lovely patio area at the front of the property with a bench for relaxing in the fresh air with your loved one and dog.

In the surrounding area, you’ll find shops in the nearby village of Harden (1 mile) and plenty of dog-walking opportunities nearby, for example the Goit Stock Waterfall (4 miles) and the majestic Hewenden Viaduct (2.5 miles). You’ll also be surrounded by scenic historical villages to visit nearby, such as Hawarth (6 miles) and Saltaire (4 miles), where you can take a boat ride along the canal or wander round the pretty Roberts Park.

Very peaceful relaxing cottage. Lovely and warm and comfortable, welcoming hosts. Couldn't be better, highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

The owners came out to meet us which is very nice as it was getting kind of dark, and we needed a torch They were very helpful and gave us lots of advice about the area. We had a lovely stay and we recommend
