Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom, dog-friendly retreat is situated near Alswear, 2.5 miles from South Molton and 10 miles from the fringes of Exmoor, with its exciting walks. It is also within reach of beautiful beaches along the North Devon coast that will welcome Fido all year round.
Let yourselves in via the kitchen, which has everything you need to help you cater for your party with your own ingredients during your stay. Fill Fido’s water bowl and present him with his dinner here too, then wander through to the lounge/diner with a cup of tea for yourself. This welcoming space has ample room for everyone, including Fido. Sit back on the soft seating to watch your favourite programme on TV or to enjoy a DVD. Gather around the table in here at mealtimes. Let Fido rest his weary paws and doze quietly on the rug until bedtime. Settle him downstairs for the night then make your own way up to one of the two comfortable bedrooms on the first floor. These include a king-size and a twin. There is also a family bathroom at the cottage. Take Fido for a long walk around the grounds before breakfast. Return to the cottage to relax out in the sunshine on the patio for a while before heading off to discover picturesque, dog-friendly Devon.
Venture 6 miles from the cottage to wander around exquisite Castle Hill Gardens. Find footpaths to follow with Fido through the 50 acres of colourful, historic parkland here. Head 13.5 miles to Simonsbath in Exmoor. From here, you and Fido can hike 2 miles up to the Iron Age hill fort of Cow Castle in the scenic Barle Valley.
