Discover plenty of pet-friendly pursuits on Somerset’s coast and countryside, staying in this fabulous Grade-II listed cottage with your beloved four-pawed pals. The property is a lovely little bolthole with both a double bedroom and a sofa bed in the lounge, ideally laid out for hosting two or four guests. Along with human members of the pack, the owners of the cottage invite you to bring along two dogs and set off exploring epic dog walks in the Exmoor countryside all around you. Both man and dog alike will feel instantly welcomed on arrival, greeted by a generously packed crate filled with dog treats and accessories.
You’re invited to have a ball both indoors and out, discovering plenty of space to relax on the property’s estate. A walled garden with a heated pool (human guests only, we’re afraid), an acre of tropical garden and a spacious paddock with livestock lies waiting to be explored. As well as this, the property boasts a private and enclosed terrace where your dog can roam. Inside you’ll find traditionally appointed decor with rooms laid out over two storeys. The kitchen/diner and relaxing lounge can be found downstairs, whilst a spiral staircase leads up to a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom.
Leave no stick unfetched in the coastal town of Minehead or around the further Exmoor National Park area. So many tail-wagging hiking routes can be found close by, including the rugged moorlands of Dunkery Beacon (8 miles), the mighty peak of Haddon Hill (14 miles) and the wide expanse of the South West Coast Path that hugs the county’s coastline (3 miles). For dogs who like to play with sand beneath their paws, head to Dunster Beach (2 miles), Greenaleigh Sand (3 miles) or Bossington Beach (7 miles) with plenty of tennis balls in tow.
