Nestled in the heart of rural Cornwall, this wonderful stone-built holiday home is perfectly positioned for exploring both coast and country with friends or family. We know how important your canine companions are to you, and with up to three four-pawed pals welcome to join you, no member of your pack will miss out on your West Country extravaganza.
Feel right at home at this welcoming cottage full of character and charm. Get cooking in the cottage-style kitchen using fresh local produce to prepare a delicious meal to be shared around the dining table. The lounge is equally inviting, with exposed wooden beams overhead, thick stone walls and plenty of comfortable seating to gather around the warming wood burner that’s sure to be a hit with the hound. Upstairs into the eaves, you’ll find three bedrooms with vaulted ceilings and tonnes of character, two of which come with their own en-suites. The bunk room is ideal for children and comes with an additional sofa bed if required. A shared shower room completes the accommodation. Outside, the safely enclosed landscaped garden is the perfect spot to sit back and relax after a day of discovery. Take a sumptuous soak in the bubbling hot tub, cook a few of Fido's favourite sausages on the BBQ, and dine alfresco on warm evenings.
Once part of the Lanhydrock Estate, the cottage sits just under a mile away from this beautiful 900-acre property that's now managed by the National Trust. The wooded grounds below the estate’s formal gardens and house are a haven for dogs alongside their walkers, and well-behaved pups are welcome inside the tea room and cafe, where you'll find drinking bowls and dog biscuits (for a donation) to keep Rover happy. For a real stretch of the legs, join the Camel Trail cycle path 3 miles away. This 18-mile, virtually level route begins in Bodmin and follows the course of an old railway line along the picturesque River Camel to Padstow on the coast. No trip to Cornwall can be complete without a visit to the beach, and one of the county's finest, Par Sands, can be found 8.5 miles away. This vast expanse of golden sand is very popular with four-pawed pals and their owners, offering year–round unrestricted doggie access.
