Set on a small complex of three cottages, you’re not out on your own in the middle of nowhere and have the village’s amenities almost literally on your doorstep. It’s ideal for any couple or young family looking for a rural retreat from which to explore the Peak District National Park. At your home from home, relax amid the cottage’s stylish interiors, complete with authentic period features.

Entering this converted barn via the light and airy lounge/diner, be sure to have dog towels to hand – just in case! A comfortable and well positioned cottage in a very beautiful village. Lovely pub right next door and farm shop and YHA at Hartington Hall great for refreshments. A really great break made even more special because of a heavy snowfall during our stay which created a beautiful Winter Winderland!

We had an evening and night with no hot water or heating was able to phone and it was reset pretty quickly. But did make for an uncomfortable night. The blue internet light is very bright at night when trying to get to sleep. On the whole though a very good well situated cottage for exploring the Peak District

I stayed in this cottage several years ago. It is much improved now. There were several lovely, thoughtful touches to welcome you upon arrival. I do hope it will be availble for the same period next year.

The cottage is perfectly situated in the centre of Hartington. It's just about the right size for 2 people and a dog, and comfortable with everything you might need. There are two small shops close by, tea rooms and a pub. What more could you ask for?

Nicely situated for walks in the area. The walk alongside the River Dove is stunning. The cottage is well equipped for a couple and boasts a really comfortable bed. Make sure you remember the key box number before arrival as mobile phone reception in the area is patchy and you cant rely on your phone for checking information.
