We know how difficult it is to be away from your four-legged friends, so bring them along to this wonderful former chapel that’s been lovingly converted into a spectacular holiday home for friends or family in the heart of ever-popular Newquay. Enjoy sociable loft-style living in the spectacular open-plan living space, or sit back and relax in your own private hot tub after a day of adventure alongside your canine companions.
With a reverse-level layout, the ground floor reveals two beautiful super-king-size bedrooms, each with its own en-suite. Climb the stairs to the first floor and enter the fantastic living area with a well-equipped kitchen, spacious dining table and plenty of comfortable seating on which to relax with Rover by your side. A third and final bedroom can be found on the second floor and boasts a beautiful original oak beamed feature wall and a large en-suite shower room. Outside, the patio garden is the perfect spot to enjoy a spot of al fresco dining or a soak in the bubbling hot tub whilst Fido safely explores the fully enclosed borders.
When it comes to dog-friendly destinations, Newquay is hard to beat. Let’s start with the glorious sandy beaches – the three closest are Towan Beach (200 metres), Harbour Beach (300 metres) and the famous Fistral Beach (0.7 miles), all of which warmly welcome wagging tails year-round with no seasonal restrictions. For the foodies, there is a fantastic range of pup-positive cafes, pubs and restaurants on offer, and you can even order a special pizza just for Rover, accompanied by a meaty ‘beer’. As far as activities go, why not take a ride back in time on a narrow gauge steam train or enjoy a windswept cliff-top walk along the South West Coast Path? If local produce is more your thing, visit Healeys Cyder Farm (9.5 miles), a family-run cider brewery that offers tours of the distillery with tastings, a cider-making museum and a tea room. Apart from the production halls and jam kitchen, dogs are allowed across the site, including in the cellars, museum and even on the tractor rides!
