Enjoy a truly unique stay at this former chapel, lovingly converted into a spectacular holiday retreat in the heart of ever-popular Newquay. With wonderfully preserved original features, your own private garden and a wonderful hot tub at your disposal, all the ingredients are there for a magical escape to the Cornish seaside with friends, family and your canine companions.
With a reverse-level layout, the ground floor offers three spacious bedrooms, with the light-filled master boasting high ceilings and original bay windows. There is also a family bathroom and a separate shower room on this floor. Climb the stairway with double-height ceilings and beautiful arched windows to the first floor to find the fourth and final bedroom featuring an elegant 3-metre-high arched headboard. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is the spectacular heart of the home, with a high domed ceiling and plenty of natural light. The kitchen area offers high-end appliances and is fully equipped for any dinner party gathered around the large dining table and chairs. The lounge area provides comfortable seating for all the family and plenty of space for Rover to curl up beside you. Outside, sit back and relax in the bubbling hot tub or on the garden furniture and sample a sun-downer or two whilst your pup safely explores the fully enclosed borders.
As far as dog-friendly destinations go, you don't get much better than the beachside town of Newquay. Famed for its glorious beaches and fantastic surfing conditions, the town is home to numerous sandy bays, the three closest of which, Towan (200 metres), Harbour (300 metres), and Fistral (0.7 miles) offer year-round frolics with Fido with no seasonal restrictions. The town itself is home to many excellent cafes, pubs and restaurants that are happy to receive four-pawed customers, including a pizza restaurant that serves a special doggy pizza alongside a meaty 'beer' that your pup is sure to adore. For hounds of a more discerning nature, take a journey on the Lappy Valley Railway’s restored fleet of narrow gauge and miniature steam engines to a hidden valley full of fun for all the family (5 miles). You’ll discover large fields at the top of the valley where dogs can be let off the lead for a run, and water bowls are located around the site.
