This fabulous bungalow ticks every box on the bucket list, offering a country escape with luxury leisure facilities alongside acres of grounds that are ideal for canine capers. Perfect as a quiet couple’s retreat but with space for family or friends to come too, it’s part of the St Mellion Estate which has two golf courses, each with European Tour pedigree.

Step into a hallway with plenty of natural light, to one side of which is a spacious lounge/kitchen/dining room. Cook up a treat, congregate around the central dining table then turn on the Smart TV and unwind with a movie – open up the French doors so Fido can sniff at the fresh air or snooze on the patio while you relax. Also off the main hallway is a contemporary shower room and a bunk bedroom with storage space. Close by, the master bedroom features a super-king-size bed – for versatility, this can be made up as a twin on request – plus a dressing area, Smart TV and en-suite bathroom with both bath and separate shower. There are also doors opening onto the private patio area… it’s a great spot for your morning cuppa!

The complimentary health club facilities here include three swimming pools plus a spa pool, sauna and steam room, while optional extras include golf, beauty treatments and exercise classes. There’s plenty of space for Fido to play fetch within the 450 acres of grounds which all guests are welcome to roam, but for adventures further afield you could walk the riverside trails of the Tamar Valley AONB – start at the visitor centre in Gulworthy, 10.5 miles away. Just 6 miles to the south, Saltash looks across the water to the glittering lights of Plymouth – the famous naval city is 11.5 miles from your holiday base.

The property is large and well managed. The facilities in the property (beds, showers, TV, etc) were good, but we felt that there wasn't a luxury feel.
