Have-it-all holidays start here – the extensive St Mellion Estate offers exceptional leisure facilities and acres of dog-friendly adventure – all surrounded by beautiful countryside and close to Cornwall’s scenic south coast.

One of a cluster of characterful stone dwellings, this cottage features a pastel-coloured, contemporary open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining room where everyone can gather. There’s all the home-from-home essentials and entertainment here, plus doors leading onto a patio which comes complete with outdoor furniture. When it’s time to leave your dog to his dreams, two bedrooms offer ultimate flexibility, each of them having a super-king-size zip-and-link bed which could be made up as twins instead. One has an en-suite bathroom and the other an en-suite shower room – the master has a Smart TV and doors onto the patio too.

There are 450 acres of grounds to explore here, surely enough to ensure every hound has a ball! Once walkies are over you can find your own new leash of life in the on-site health club, where you’ll enjoy complimentary use of three swimming pools, a steam room, sauna, spa pool, gym and resistance room; optional extras include golf, spa treatments and exercise classes. For adventures further afield, the rolling moorland and riverside trails of the Tamar Valley AONB are perfect for doggy days out – the visitor centre at Gulworthy, 10.5 miles away, is a good starting point. If sandy paws are on your holiday wish-list then head to Looe (17 miles), where you can walk by the picturesque fishing harbour or pick up the South West Coast Path. Sitting in the shade of the stunning Tamar Bridge, Saltash (6 miles) is a must-see, while for contrast the famous naval city of Plymouth is just 11.5 miles away.

  • 1 dog allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £200 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £25. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

Excellent cottage with 2 wonderfully big and comfortable double beds. Nice size family room and kitchen area. Very clean on arrival. Lots of walks to explore with the dog. Resident fees for golf and the Nicklaus course is a true test for any golfer.
