Set around a tranquil fishing pond, this charming lodge is one of three on the wooded site of a former quarry. Close to the Atlantic coast there are walking opportunities and beaches galore.
Situated amongst the rolling hills of the North Devon countryside, families and their four-legged friends will love the rural location of this charming lodge. It occupies a delightful lakeside position and has the best of coast and country within easy reach. You and your dogs can enjoy endless ‘walkies’ from your doorstep, or venture further afield and breathe in the sea air from the South West Coast Path and many beaches along the rugged coastline. Return home of an evening to snuggle up in front of the wood burner with a bowl of your favourite treats.
Vaulted ceilings and light tones throughout the property create a feeling of light and space, ensuring you can relax in comfort. Whether you’re cooking up a storm, eating at the table or chilling on the sofas, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is a wonderful area in which to spend quality time together. There are two bedrooms in this one-storey property, both of which are tastefully decorated to create a welcoming feel. A bathroom completes the accommodation. Outside, a gated, covered veranda looks out over the lake and is a wonderful spot for alfresco dining or making the most of the tranquillity with a good book.
Your canine companion will love exploring the neighbouring countryside, but they will also enjoy the feeling of sand beneath their paws on one of the many nearby dog-friendly beaches, such as Welcombe Mouth and Sandymouth (within 9 miles). You can also join the South West Coast Path at various points which connects many of these beaches and coves. For something quirky, take the circular walk from Morwenstow (8 miles) to the National Trust’s smallest property, Hawker’s Hut. You also have the bustling seaside town of Bude 11 miles away, with its beaches, shops, eateries, canal, sea pool and crazy golf.
