Let your canine companion live their best farm dog life whilst staying on this 260-acre working farm. Situated in Devon, not too far from the coast and with Cornwall in effortless reach, you’ll find never-ending walkies routes and a selection of incredible pet-friendly beaches nearby, making this getaway one you won’t quickly forget. The property itself is an elegantly displayed holiday destination for eight guests, surrounded by never-ending countryside and offering a large, enclosed garden where two dogs can roam without disrupting the resident cattle.
High ceilings, original beams and contemporary decor make this place a real top-dog choice. Sociable mornings and evenings can be spent together in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, no doubt with Rover and Fido snoozing merrily away in their beds in the corner. Expansive French doors offer countryside views and access to the patio, a spot with furniture, a fire pit and a BBQ encouraging guests to spend time outdoors whilst the pets run around freely. Once you’ve called your pups back indoors, you can put feet (and paws) up on the plush L-shaped sofa with the Smart TV on. All four of the bedrooms are laid out over the ground and first floors, and each one also has its own Smart TV for further cosy movie nights.
Presenting an easy route to follow and linking all of the surrounding beaches together, the South West Coast Path is an extraordinarily popular walkies choice that’s just 2 miles away. Venture south to find Welcombe Mouth Beach (4 miles), a site of scientific interest filled with unique geology and appealing wildlife, as well as offering sandy and pebble shores where pets can chase after tennis balls throughout every month of the year. In the opposite direction, a northern walk leads into the beauty of Hartland, past the Speke's Mill Mouth Waterfall and on to Hartland Abbey (both 4 miles).
