Surrounded by mountains, fields and forests, this converted stone barn is perfect for a couple and two four-legged companions who love scampering among nature in all seasons. As there are other properties on-site, you can meet up with friends, family members and perhaps more canine chums for a group holiday. After a busy day of exploring, cook up a feast in your own pizza oven and unwind with a soak in the private hot tub.
Inside, this single-storey property features a colourful open-plan living space where you can prepare food for both you and your ravenous canines and flick through the channels on the Smart TV to find something entertaining to watch. A charming king-size zip-and-link bed offers a restful place to lay your head at the end of the day. Make the most of the outdoor space to soak up the sights and sounds of the idyllic countryside while sipping coffee or a glass of wine. Enclosed by a fence, the courtyard is also a safe space to teach your dogs a new trick or two.
Pack a picnic and sniff out adventure on the woodland walking trails of Brechfa Forest (9 miles) or hop aboard the Gwili Steam Railway (14.5 miles) with your canines for a ride through the countryside. The stunning Cardigan Bay is within 15 miles of the cottage. New Quay’s North Beach welcomes dogs all year round, while dolphin and seal-spotting boat trips run from the harbour. The Dylan Thomas Trail also takes you around this area as the poet found inspiration for much of his work here. A little further up the coast, wander around the picturesque waterfront in Aberaeron (17.5 miles), known for its pastel-coloured harbourside houses.
