Studded into the stunning countryside and set within a 400-acre beef and sheep farm lies this cosy cottage offering plenty of space for a family of five and up to two dogs. Perched on the edge of the Brecon Beacons you can spend your days walking, cycling fishing or exploring, and your evenings snuggled up on the sofa playing board games with the kids, perhaps pausing to refill your glass of wine or give your pup a belly rub. The emphasis here is on rest, relaxation and recharging your hard-working batteries.
Packed with period features such as exposed wooden beams and stripped oak doors throughout, you’ll feel completely at home the minute you walk through the door. The well-designed open-plan lounge/dining room is comfortable and welcoming, with stone steps providing an unusual focal point and entrance to the kitchen. Upstairs, the two bedrooms are light and bright, with traditional pine beds continuing the classic country feel of the rest of the cottage.
Outside, you have your pick of wonderful walks in every direction as soon as you step foot out of the door. The national park is home to waterfalls, caves and prehistoric monuments and no matter how much time you spend here, you’ll stumble across something new each and every day. As a Dark Sky Reserve, nightfall is a pretty special time here and on clear evenings you can expect to be dazzled by a sky filled with stars and galaxies. There is a well-stocked shop 3 miles from the cottage and a friendly pub just over a mile away.
