Ease into a slower pace of life, enjoy gorgeous views and head out on a variety of scenic walks from this charming cottage on the hillside between Brecon and Crickhowell. A lovely getaway for larger families and groups of friends, plus two canine companions, this is an ideal base for active holidays.
This cosy property offers a warm welcome and, conveniently, has two separate living rooms in which to relax. The lounge boasts plenty of comfortable seating and a Smart TV and DVD for entertainment, while the farmhouse-style dining room includes not only a large table but also a sofa, TV and wood burner around which you can gather. This room leads to the kitchen, kitted out with everything you’ll need to create tasty meals, and then to the utility room - a great place to store your pets’ food and pop down their bowls. All four bedrooms - two doubles and two twins - are on the first floor, along with a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. Don’t miss the spectacular country views from the garden, where you can spend time in the sunshine on the enclosed patio, grilling something delicious on the BBQ, while your furry friends sniff about and chase their tails.
The cottage is located on the owners’ 400-acre farm on the edge of the Black Mountains. Renowned for its choice of walks, the area is also perfect for anyone interested in outdoor activities, including cycling, mountain biking, riding, sailing, fishing, caving and more. For a change, the fascinating Tretower Court and Castle is 3.5 miles, while the historic village of Talybont-on-Usk, 8 miles, has places to eat and drink, as well as a canal, reservoir, rivers, hills, woods and waterfalls to explore.
