Your dogs will love exploring the pretty harbour town of Kirkcudbright (12 miles). In the streets behind the harbour, you’ll find a flourishing collection of artist studios, as well as a nice selection of dog-friendly bars and cafes. Alternatively, head to dog-friendly Rockcliffe Beach (16 miles). From there you can take a lovely 3-mile coastal walk to the pretty coastal village of Kippford, where you’ll find a couple of dog-friendly pubs.
