Enjoying enviable views of the countryside, which your canine companion will love just as much as you, this single-storey cottage is surrounded by nature, forest walks and pretty country villages steeped in history. This property offers a secluded getaway for up to four people and one four-legged friend to enjoy and is great for those who love walking or cycling. Let your hound lead the way as you cover the 6.5 miles between the cottage and the centre of the Forest of Dean or really walk his paws off and head 12 miles to the heart of the Wye Valley’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Inside the property is an inviting open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner offering plenty of space to relax and for Fido to stretch out. The kitchen is equipped with all you need for a self-catering break and has a well-placed skylight to brighten the room. There is space for four around the dining table and plenty of room for your four-legged friend to sit too. A door leads out to two comfortable bedrooms, one with views out to the garden. A contemporary bathroom completes the accommodation with a shower over the bath and WC. Outside, your hound has his own enclosed garden with incredible views, while you have an al fresco dining space with charcoal BBQ.
If history is your thing, you’ll love the village of Blakeney which can be found just a mile away from the cottage. Here you’ll also find a dog-friendly pub for you and Fido to enjoy. For a truly beautiful sight, head 2.5 miles north of the cottage to Bradley Hill woodlands and tiptoe, or paw, through blankets of bluebells. You can also make your way to Lydney Park Gardens (7 miles away) where you’ll find a whole host of floral displays.
