Wander through Hartland Abby’s stunning gardens which welcomes dogs on leads - bursting with colour in summer, these woodland gardens were chosen to film ‘Sense and Sensibility’. The fishing village of Appledore (11 miles) has charming dog-friendly cafes with water bowls provided for thirsty pups; you can access the Northam Burrows from here, where pups can run free through the dunes.
