Bring your furry friend for an escape to the Cotswolds, staying in this immaculate property in the heart of an iconic village. Brilliantly located for long walks in the scenic countryside, this romantic retreat offers all mod cons, including a super-king-size bed, open fire and enclosed courtyard where your pup can safely chase his tail.
This historic red-brick cottage has been beautifully decorated throughout with great attention to detail. Follow your excited hound through the front door and straight into the charming lounge, with its selection of antique furnishings, comfortable seating, TV and open fire. There’s a fold-down dining table by the window, ready for mealtimes as you watch the world go by. The kitchen, at the back of the house, has all the conveniences for holiday cooking. Settle your chum to sleep and you’ll find your cosy super-king-size bedroom on the first floor, with a vaulted ceiling, ample storage and pretty linens. A sleek shower room completes the interior. As for outside space, the walled courtyard is a delightful spot for a morning coffee or a sundowner as your canine companion sniffs around in the fresh air. While roadside parking is restricted, an off-road space nearby is available by payment directly to the owner.
The cottage is located on Broadway’s high street, close to its fascinating variety of shops, restaurants, pubs and galleries. The picture-postcard village is renowned for its beauty and makes a great base for driving out and exploring the Cotswolds, including Snowshill, Stow on the Wold, Bourton on the Water, and Moreton in Marsh (all within 13 miles). For walkies from your door, take the Cotswold Way footpath to Broadway Tower, a folly about a mile outside town (the cafes have dog-friendly areas, but your chum isn’t allowed inside the tower itself).
