Poppy's visit to Canine Cottages

Having a dog in the office always creates a buzz with our canine loving colleagues. Four-legged visitors get fusses, cuddles, and there’s always some treats hidden around the place! And that buzz was never bigger than the day our Canine Critic visited us for the first time.

Poppy and her humans, Cara and Andy, stopped off on their way to complete their first assignment in North Cornwall, staying in Bootlace Barn just outside beautiful Bude. With our North Devon-based headquarters en route, it provided us with the perfect opportunity to meet our gorgeous, fluffy, new staff member!

Poppy settling into her role as Canine Critic

Poppy loved being a part of the team, getting settled into the role right away in her own chair, eyeing up her cottage for the weekend while the humans discussed important matters like how soft her coat is and just how photogenic her face is. She even met the owner of the business and our marketing director – although she seemed more interested in the CEO’s chair than she did paying attention to any boring conversation.

Lookingly longingly towards the position of CEO

At just 18 months old, Poppy has already mastered lots of tricks that she couldn’t wait to show off, like play dead, roll over, beg, and high five. Her moves drew in quite the crowd, with plenty of people rushing over to see what all the fuss was about, before giving her lots of fuss and attention themselves.

Getting all of the attention

After some delicious cake, sandwiches and crisps, some clambering to see what was going on out of the window, and plenty of exciting holiday chatter and recommendations, Poppy and her parents headed off into the sunshine to create lots of new memories. They’ll be posting updates of their adventures on social media over the weekend, and ‘repawting’ back to HQ next week with details of all the fun and exciting things they’ve been up to.
