Beautiful recently renovated cottage with everything you need along with the luxury of your own private hot tub.
The fabulous Grade II-listed cottage sleeps six guests and one small canine companion. Located less than 5 miles from the North York Moors National Park, you’ll have access to wild open moorland, unspoilt woodlands and picturesque market towns to explore with your four-legged pal. For something a bit special, hop on a heritage steam train at Pickering (5.5 miles away) and chug majestically through the varied landscape and quaint rural stations.
This elegant property exudes luxury, with plush fabrics and a clever mix of textures creating a truly unique living space. In the lounge area, you’ll find gorgeous exposed beams and a feature fireplace housing a cosy wood burner. This will no doubt be the waggy-tailed one’s favourite siesta spot after a long walk. The stylish kitchen/diner has ample space for everyone to congregate for breakfast and to plan the day’s activities (with Fido eagerly listening out for the word ‘walkies’!). Outside, there’s a delightful enclosed patio where you can sip a morning coffee by the hot tub or enjoy an evening meal under the pretty pergola.
A visit to the charming market town of Malton (8.5 miles) must be on the cards if you’re a foodie. Known as ‘Yorkshire’s Food Capital’, it’s packed with fabulous eateries (many of which are dog friendly) and shops selling artisan produce, plus there’s an excellent monthly food market. Castle Howard (10.5 miles) is perfect for a family day out. The furball can join you for a stroll around the 1,000 acres of rolling parkland, whilst you marvel at the stunning 18th-century palace and the kids play in the marvellous adventure playground. Afterwards, enjoy refreshments in the courtyard cafe and if the woofer’s been good, they might even be allowed one of the free bones from the farm shop.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
