Beautiful recently renovated cottage with everything you need along with the luxury of your own private hot tub.

The fabulous Grade II-listed cottage sleeps six guests and one small canine companion. Located less than 5 miles from the North York Moors National Park, you’ll have access to wild open moorland, unspoilt woodlands and picturesque market towns to explore with your four-legged pal. For something a bit special, hop on a heritage steam train at Pickering (5.5 miles away) and chug majestically through the varied landscape and quaint rural stations.

This elegant property exudes luxury, with plush fabrics and a clever mix of textures creating a truly unique living space. In the lounge area, you’ll find gorgeous exposed beams and a feature fireplace housing a cosy wood burner. This will no doubt be the waggy-tailed one’s favourite siesta spot after a long walk. The stylish kitchen/diner has ample space for everyone to congregate for breakfast and to plan the day’s activities (with Fido eagerly listening out for the word ‘walkies’!). Outside, there’s a delightful enclosed patio where you can sip a morning coffee by the hot tub or enjoy an evening meal under the pretty pergola.

A visit to the charming market town of Malton (8.5 miles) must be on the cards if you’re a foodie. Known as ‘Yorkshire’s Food Capital’, it’s packed with fabulous eateries (many of which are dog friendly) and shops selling artisan produce, plus there’s an excellent monthly food market. Castle Howard (10.5 miles) is perfect for a family day out. The furball can join you for a stroll around the 1,000 acres of rolling parkland, whilst you marvel at the stunning 18th-century palace and the kids play in the marvellous adventure playground. Afterwards, enjoy refreshments in the courtyard cafe and if the woofer’s been good, they might even be allowed one of the free bones from the farm shop.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

  • 2 bedrooms – 1 king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into a twin on request), 1 king-size
  • Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washer dryer

The photos and some of the description details for the cottage are very misleading - particularly regarding the downstairs bedroom (very small, only half the size as shown in the photos on the website due to addition of dining room). We thought the cottage was beautifully furnished and styled, and well equipped. The parking was a tight squeeze for Read moretwo cars, prepare to manoeuvre! We enjoyed our stay but unfortunately it was not what we expected in terms of size and space to suit our needs. Hide

This cottage needs photos updated, the third bedroom was a joke more of a cupboard and you feel totally isolated from the rest of your family. We won't be booking here again.

Loved the house- really tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. Quite far out from York- took 45 mins -up to an hour to travel in every day but would not put us off staying here again.

Superb and well equipped cottage. Definitely only ok for 5 people max given the tiny small downstairs double room. Outdoor hot tub and dining excellent.

Beautifully decorated cottage giving a wow factor to the holiday. Lovely setting opposite a very pretty church. Plenty to see and do in the surrounding areas, picturesque market towns, and not far to go for fish and chips at Whitby! It was always a pleasure to return to the cottage for a relaxing evening in the hot tub.

This is a beautifully furnished cottage. The lounge is lovely & cosy with the fire lit, hot tub at night looking at the stars was fantastic. Couple of watch outs, the pictures give an illusion of space which is not reality, this is a lovely, quaint, old cottage & has very low doorways upstairs. We had 5 adults and to be honest it felt cramped, espeRead morecially sitting round the kitchen table. We also had a dog, which we had to take across the (busy!) road for toileting as no grass in the back garden Hide

The pictures as others have mentioned mislead you to the size and layout. TV is very small. Genuinely outstanding property decorated, furnished and equipped to the highest possible standards. By far the best we have ever stayed in over many years. Slightly more compact that the photographs suggest but still comfortable for 6 guests.
