Sleeping five guests across three bedrooms (two doubles and one single), this property serves up plenty of space for everyone. Find a corner of your own or come together in the open-plan lounge/diner to watch a film or play a game of cards. For food lovers, the spacious modern kitchen will provide lots of room for creative feasts, and outside a private, enclosed patio and BBQ offers extra choice. Found in an unbeatable location, your dogs can explore the gardens of the main house with you where you can stroll along the riverbank or take a pew on the decking area which can be arranged with the owner directly. Also, outside, a superb games room with assorted table top games is free for you to use. Beautifully furnished, this property will be hard to leave but when you can tear yourself away, the surrounding area is home to activities and attractions aplenty.

Nestled between Appledore and Bideford, some of Devon’s most beautiful sights are in easy reach. Head 2 miles away to Westward Ho! beach where your dogs are free to play on the sand between October and April, and all year north of Sandymere. 2.5 miles away, Northam Burrows Country Park welcomes dogs on leads and is a fantastic spot for a walk amongst captivating scenery.

We all had a fantastic stay. The house was lovely and comfortable with everything you need. Would highly recommend staying. The hosts were amazing and we cant fault this stay at all

Jo and Darren are the perfect hosts! We felt utterly spoiled on arrival - scones, clotted cream, fresh milk & Lindt choc bunnies. The cottage is v clean & so warm and cosy (if you prefer less heat, all radiators are adjustable). Fabulous little place with everything you could need. Ideal for families, dogs, old(er) people!! The perfect get away, on arrival we were welcomed by a beautiful vase of roses on the table, scones, jam and cream, a bottle of locally produced milk and every kind of tea you could think of. Well presented, cosy cottage. Plenty of space, with cloakroom, bathroom and ensuite. We arrived to a cream tea which was delicious and a supply of milk. Also a selection of teas and coffees to choose from. Ideally situated for North Devon and visiting Appledore is a must.

We really enjoyed our visit to this cottage. Jo and Darren were very welcoming and helpful hosts and the cottage was well equipped, comfortable and relaxing. An absolutely lovely cottage, very comfortable and very thoughtfully provisioned. The beds were all comfortable, all the amenities worked perfectly with hot water readily available. Definitely one of the best cottages we have stayed in - well decorated and comfy sofa and armchairs. Whilst it was just two of us and our Westie, it had plenty of room for a family of four or group of friends. Thanks too for the 'welcome' items of milk, tea/coffee sachets and biscuits, which was much appreciated. Lovely cottage in good quiet location to visit north Devon. For walkers the coastal path is a min walk away. Very clean and safe for dogs though theyre not allowed on furniture or upstairs but they provide a gate for the stairs which as a great help. Very clean. Well presented. Smaller than we thought. Well located. Surrounding beaches all lovely and easy to get parking. The en suite is a bit claustrophobic as v small and no windows with tiny sink. I shared the family bathroom with the kids. If you have a dog, you have to walk round to the green across the road as the courtyard is fully paved. It was a lovely week for us, the actual accommodation could not be faulted, however it would have been nice to have a type of welcome pack that gives info on where the best places to eat are and local places of interest to visit. but in all fairness a very enjoyable week. The cottage is cosy and clean. The sofa could do with a upgrade as it was quite worn and stained. All in all the cottage is comfortable with a nice feel to it. The area is beautiful with lovely views over the estuary.

Master bedroom way to hot, as being above the combi boiler and there was no instructional pack telling you about the lodge. And no access to the games room as advertised which was very disappointing.

Lovely cottage clean and comfortable. Situated down a quiet lane next to the coastal path. We stayed just before the easter break and found the whole Bideford area very dog friendly. Due to the time of year many tourists areas were not fully open especially on Mondays and Tuesdays.

We had a great few days at the stables. The cottage itself has everything you would need. Its clean and tidy and easily enough space for four people. The games room was a winner with the kids and also have a safe room to store bikes. I would totally recommend the Stables. It was closed in and had everything thought out for our stay. It was our first holiday in 6 years and we throughly enjoyed it. Our dog had a great time too.. it is such a relaxing place to stay. It was clean and tidy yet still homely .

Lovely place, well equipped kitchen, comfy lounge with smart TV and decent WiFi. Bedrooms are a little on the small size but they've made great use of space.in this property overall. Probably not one for taller holiday makers though. It's more tucked away than we were expecting but it's a pleasant walk to Bideford if the weather is ok. Loved the gaRead moremes room. A lovely cottage in a beautiful area with a good sized garden a short walk away. The children also loved the games room. There are also lots of walks on the doorstep and I recommend a visit to Appledore, which is about a 2 mile walk. The biggest negatives for me as a tall person were the hanging lights which are a big no no when the ceilings are alRead moreready low and both my wife and I found the bed uncomfortable due to the footboard.
