Beautiful stone cottage with original features in Llwyngwril village. Treat your loved one to a romantic retreat in the Welsh coast and Snowdonia National Park. The pub, shop and beach are close by.

This idyllic 19th-century property is the perfect location for you to escape the humdrum of everyday life and get lost in the magic of this charming corner of Wales, all with your favourite four-legged friend at your side, of course. With fabulous footpaths and beaches at your fingertips, including 823 square miles within the national park, you’ll find a huge variety of walks that will take your breath away and keep your dog’s tail wagging with delight.

The quirky cottage still has many original features and the flagstone floors make cleaning up pawprints nice and easy. Natural light floods the lounge at the heart of this cottage, where you can snuggle up on the comfy sofa after a long walk and your canine chum can doze by the wood burner. To the front of the property, you can enjoy morning coffee on the bistro table and chairs.

There are plenty of walks directly from your doorstep, and the dog-friendly pebbled beach of Llwyngwril is less than half a mile away. This is a beautiful spot for a stroll in the early morning sunshine, taking in the stunning views of the surrounding mountainous countryside. If you and your hound fancy a challenge, why not spend a day climbing Cader Idris? It’s one of Snowdonia’s most popular mountains for walkers, as there are several routes to choose from and the summit offers magnificent views for miles. There is also a couple of great dog-friendly eateries convenient to the start of the paths. If it’s long sandy beaches you’re after, head to Aberdovey, just 11.5 miles away. Here you’ll find beautiful unspoilt scenery, plus some lovely independent shops and cafes. Although there are dog restrictions on part of the beach, there’s a fantastic dedicated area where woofers can run to their hearts’ content.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The cottage was lovely and everything you could need was there. Mr Warner was very helpful and available if we needed anything. The cleanest place we have stayed in. We would recommend it.

It was an enjoyable week in a nice area, village and quiet location. Despite both of us being 70 +, leaving the car in the centre of village and walking up a short slope was no problem at all. It is an old cottage but well planned and renovated, light and airy with a useful small spare room. The owners were local, very approachable and able to respRead moreond to most of our queries/needs. Warm, cosy, comfortable stone cottage up a steep hill, therefore not for the infirm. Frustratingly Hi Tech for technophobes, but enjoyable all the same. Everything that you would need is there.

Cozy, clean, quiet, and well maintained. Suitable for 2 people. Parking is a bit of a hike. Town is charming and scenic. For the town and visitors sake, I hope the pub re-opens soon.

Very compact very old traditional Welsh cottage. Heating worked well, kitchen and shower room well appointed. Bedroom had limited space around the bed. Bed itself was extremely comforable. Kictchen, lounge, dressing room have roof windows which with matt white walls inside gave light throughout till the sun set.

We had a good holiday and compared with others the weather was good if not very warm. We have answered yes below but with the reservations about age and walking ability.
