This traditional Grade II listed cottage has period features throughout and makes an excellent family or group getaway, with a separate coach house boasting its own living quarters for extra privacy.

A 500-year-old Grade-II listed thatched cottage, this superb property invites up to five dogs and their well-behaved humans to enjoy a furry-tale adventure. Proudly parading its historical pedigree yet oh-so-homely, two-legged guests won’t fail to fall in love with its quixotic charm whilst the four-legged members of the pack will adore the abundance of walks nearby, including direct access to the 625 mile long Monarch’s Way footpath. Indulge in leisurely mornings, enjoy hours of adventure and in the evening cuddle up together in front of the fire, dishing out treats for all. In such a location, happy memories will come easy yet last a lifetime.

Generously sized for families and friends, this Hawkchurch property sleeps up to 8 guests and enjoys the addition of a self-contained, single-storey coach house, available upon request. Boasting plenty of space for chatting and relaxing, both socialites and wallflowers will feel at ease in the main hub of the home. While your sleeping dogs lay in front of the fire in the lounge, take the three steps from the hall and head into the double-aspect kitchen/diner. Here, you will find plenty of pots, pans and appliances to help you cook up Michelin-worthy fare, popping aside any titbits for your lucky canine chums. While outside you will find a separate outbuilding housing the washing machine and dryer, upstairs you will reach three bedrooms, each as comfortable as the next.

Venturing outside again, the front of the cottage has an enclosed, split-level garden while the enclosed rear garden features a lawn and a patio area with seating – an idyllic spot to soak up the sunshine while your hounds playfully tussle on the grass. For the keen amblers of your pack, the property’s access to the 625-mile long Monarch’s Way footpath will be a real hit – although bitesize chunks are recommended! For coastal jaunts, the wonderful Lyme Regis is only 7 miles away.

Lovely peaceful location with beaches a short drive away. The property was well equipped and was perfect for us as a family with young children and dogs. Beds very comfortable and sitting room cosy but cool during the recent hot weather. We all had a great holiday.

Beautiful, comfortable cottage. Everything you need for a relaxing family break. The cottage is well equipped with everything you could need. And Internet to satisfy the teenagers! Close proximity to a public footpath, perfect for walking the dogs. Highly recommended the local pub, book to avoid disappointment.
