Step inside the kitchen and dining area and you’ll find period features and country style (exposed beams, oak fittings, deep Indian sills and barn doors with shutters) plus a wood burner where your hound can relax after chasing birds. The well-equipped kitchen is perfect for rustling up evening suppers, and the lounge begs relaxation with its wood burner and TV. There’s also a snug with a sofa and TV, plus a separate WC on this floor, and upstairs, there are three bedrooms. From the lounge, there are double doors leading out to the enclosed BBQ courtyard garden with its relaxing countryside views. At the rear of the garage there is a drying room with a heater, hanging rails and a boot rack. It also houses a tumble dryer.
The property’s setting in Monsal Dale is between Buxton (10.5 miles) with its independent shops, cafes and pubs, and Bakewell (4.5 miles), great for shoppers and in a wonderful part of the Peak District National Park which is packed with dog-friendly walks and cycling trails. Grab your wheels and try these cycle trails: Tissington Trail (17 miles), High Peak Trail, and Monsal Trail (1 mile). History buffs and garden lovers will appreciate stately visits to Chatsworth House (8 miles) where dogs on leads can roam the vast parkland, or Haddon Hall (7 miles), Peveril Castle (9.5 miles), and Bolsover Castle (22 miles).
