Showcasing original features throughout, this charming semi-detached stone-built property sitting in the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty offers everything a couple could want on a romantic retreat in Devon. Overflowing with character, the property sleeps two people in one bedroom and welcomes one canine companion, which makes it the perfect romantic bolthole for couples who want to experience a traditional Devonshire break with their pup by their side.

Step inside this delightful single-storey property and you will find yourself in an entrance hallway with plenty of room to store all of your dog-walking essentials. Continue and you’ll discover a lovely light open-plan living room/kitchen/diner. Cook a romantic meal for two in the country-style kitchen and enjoy a meal together in the dining area. Alternatively, you’ll find a gorgeous little enclosed patio area where you can fire up the BBQ and dine alfresco to the front of the cottage. After dinner, head to the patio and enjoy a glass of wine, or curl up on the sofa in the living area and watch a movie as your pup snoozes in front of the wood burner. When the day is done, you’re guaranteed a good night’s sleep in the spacious double bedroom.

This property is set within the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so there are a tonne of lovely walks for your pup to enjoy right on your doorstep. Just keep in mind that you need to keep your four-legged friend on a short lead from 1 March to 31 July if you’re on open access land. Your pup is also welcome all year round at Weston Mouth Beach (16.5 miles), which is a favourite with naturists. Clothing is optional, and in general, the right hand side of the beach is reserved for nudists.

Lovely country cottage, well equipped and surrounded by beautiful wildlife. We throughly enjoyed touring the area from small villages to many beaches Imogen and Justin were on hand if required. Totally missing fudge the dog.

Peaceful and ideally situated for touring with the M5 only a short drive away. The dog thoroughly enjoyed his holiday. The owners of the property were delightful.

Lovely cottage - private, cosy and thoughtfully appointed! Considerate hosts. The bed was very comfortable. Recommend a visit to the nearby most picturesque village of Broadhembury!

The cottage was great: very cosy inside, and the interior was stylish, it definitely felt special. We enjoyed our conversations with Justin and Imogen, they are friendly and kind. The location is very good for cycling trips in Blackdown Hills: we arrived to Honiton by train from London and then cycled to the cottage. Then each day we had plenty of Read moreroutes to explore. There is also a really nice walk through the forest starting close to the cottage. Internet connection was stable. Hide
