Escape to the coast in this lovely little bolthole with a bright and airy open-plan living providing a wonderful space to relax after a day of exploring the coastline.
Escape with your loved ones for a break at this quaint retreat in the unspoilt seaside town of Hornsea. Sleeping four people across two bedrooms and welcoming two canine companions, it’s the perfect accommodation option for a small family or group of friends yearning for long walks along a sandy beach with their faithful friends by their side. You’ll love strolling around Hornsea Mere – the largest freshwater lake in Yorkshire – and long, lazy evenings on the property’s pretty patio.
Step inside and you’ll find a light and bright open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Make yourself at home and then head to the kitchen area to rustle up a hearty meal for your loved ones. Get everyone together to eat at the dining table before you head to the living area to slip onto a sofa to catch up on your favourite TV shows. Alternatively, make your way out to the enclosed patio to the rear of the cottage, pull up a chair and enjoy a glass of something cool and crisp while your pups relish the freedom of the enclosed space. At the end of the day you’ll find two pretty double bedrooms upstairs.
Take your pups for a stroll at Hornsea Mere (1.5 miles) - which gives the area its ‘Lakeland by the Sea’ nickname – and you may spot goldeneyes, Canada geese and tufted ducks. There’s also a dog-friendly cafe that serves a fabulous afternoon tea. Alternatively, head into the quaint market town of Beverley (13 miles). Check out the Saturday market and take your pups for a walk at Beverley Westwood - one of the few common pasturelands remaining in the country. Further afield, the pups will adore a jaunt around Scarborough Castle (33 miles), which offers panoramic views over the dramatic Yorkshire coastline.
