Planning a group holiday in Norfolk and need some accommodation where you can all relax together? Book a stay at this spacious converted barn in Worstead. It has an indulgent hot tub for true holiday relaxation and is located on the edge of the pretty waterways of the Norfolk Broads, creating plenty of opportunities for long, cross-country walks that any dog will go crazy for. This property has room for up to eight guests, and one canine chum is welcome to come along too.
The barn has been beautifully renovated, with oak flooring and lovely wooden beams spanning the vaulted ceiling. In the huge open-plan living space, bi-folding windows lead out onto the spacious patio. As your friends cook up a feast in the well-equipped kitchen, catch up on the newspaper headlines as you caress Duke’s silky ears. If it’s chilly out, light the freestanding wood burner to create a warm, cosy atmosphere. Outside, the large courtyard is kitted out with comfy furniture and shrubs. This space is ideal for chilling out with your friends and pet on sunny days, perhaps enjoying a meal in the fresh air as Duke dozes off in the shade.
Worstead is a pretty village with a dog-friendly pub, and the starting point for a number of walks. For a watery day out, make a packed lunch and take the dogs on a boat on the Norfolk Broads (5.5 miles). For some sea air, drive to Cromer (13 miles), a Victorian seaside resort with a sandy beach that dogs will go mutts for – they may even take a dip to show off their doggy paddle! Head into the historic town of Norwich (13.5 miles) to discover independent retailers in the narrow Lanes before heading for coffee in a dog-friendly coffee house.
