The property is perfectly located for a wide variety of walks to discover with your canine chum, from a stroll along a section of the Beacons Way that runs through the village to an exhilarating climb to the summit of Pen y Fan (15 miles away). After all that walking, treat yourself to a hearty meal at the popular paw-friendly pub, just 300 metres from the cottage.

The kitchen area makes clever use of the space, with everything you need to rustle up a tasty meal for two. After dinner, sink into the plush sofa to watch a film or read a book, with your furry pal curled at your feet, before retiring to the warm and inviting double bedroom. The property has a small, enclosed yard area, where Rover can get some fresh air and you can dine alfresco on warm evenings.
Talybont-on-Usk (3 miles) is a great starting point for numerous walks, and also has some delightful shops selling local produce and arts and crafts. From here, meander along the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal or follow the 2-mile Henry Vaughan Walk, walking in the footsteps of the 17th-century poet through the landscape that inspired much of his poetry. If you and the pup fancy a challenge, take on the strenuous mountain walk to the summit of Pen y Fan. The highest peak in South Wales offers stunning views over Brecon and Sugar Loaf Mountain.
