A detached contemporary property with a hot tub and countryside views. Conveniently located for sandy beaches and Exmoor National Park. This is the perfect retreat for families and dogs.
This rural property, set within 70 acres of beautiful open countryside, sleeps four guests and two furry companions. Unwind in the peaceful location, surrounded by nature, and leave feeling fully refreshed. There are some wonderful walks directly from your doorstep or hop in the car and head to the sandy beaches of the North Devon coast. Saunton Sands, a surfing hotspot and dog-lover’s dream, is just over 20 miles away.
The single-storey accommodation, located on a working sheep farm, is surprisingly spacious. Upon entering the property via two external steps, you are greeted with a bright open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with far-reaching countryside views. On a warm day, throw open the patio doors and let your four-legged pals drift in and out to the enclosed garden. Enjoy a lazy afternoon fishing on the river that runs through the farm and in the evening, dine alfresco on the raised decked area or crack open the bubbly and spend a night under the stars in your own private hot tub. You’ll also find a handy kennel in the garden, should you need it.
There’s a lovely 8.5-mile circular walk that takes you from South Molton along the River Mole to North Molton. Passing through a patchwork quilt of fields, wooded valleys and quiet country lanes, it’s the perfect way to appreciate North Devon’s beauty. Afterwards, reward yourself with a traditional cream tea in the popular woof-friendly tearoom. For an educational family day out, journey to Quince Honey Farm (2.5 miles away). Dogs are welcome in most areas, as you learn about the bees and sample the delicious honey. Or spend the day at the beach at Saunton Sands; the hounds are allowed on pretty much all the 3.5 miles of golden sand and they’ll also love having a good sniff around the sand dunes.
