The cottage was very comfortable and its location was idyllic. A beautiful, tranquil location with stunning views of the lake enhanced by the autumnal tree colours. Lovely setting and wonderful for our dog. The cottage is comfortable and location is reasonably central for many visits to great outdoor attractions. We would highly recommend this cottage and ideal for two. Nice walks directly from the estate to the local village.

Overall standard didn't meet superb location. Decor is looking tired in all rooms with stains on sofa and some walls. Need a larger table for having even basic meals and a bedroom dressing table. TV no reception which appears to be an ongoing issue in all properties at Hall. Because of lack of soundprooofing, noise from normal activities in adjoiniRead moreng property which was not ideal. Plus was view out from all windows and especially being able to look out over grounds. Well sited for trips out. Hide

Fleetham Hall itself is quite impressive but general maintenance around the cottage seems to be a low priority. We were disappointed not to meet the owner or anyone else except when we had problems with plumbing, for example, and the owner's son did prove to be extremely pleasant and helpful.
