Brimming with character both inside and out, this historic cottage is a cosy home-from-home from which to explore the stunning Dorset countryside and coastline.

Those looking for a homely refuge from everyday life will be sure to revel in the peace and comfort of this two-bedroom cottage in Bradpole, Dorset. Offering an idyllic setting from which to delve into the surrounding countryside and Jurassic Coast, explore the dog-friendly delights of Bridport (1.5 miles away) and let sleeping dogs lie in front of the crackling wood burner after days of adventure, this four-person property ticks all the boxes for an unforgettable break.

Enter the stable doors of this delightful family home and step into the entrance hall, hanging up coats and dusting off paws. With tums ready to be refuelled after hours on the go, the kitchen/diner will be a welcome sight with late summer sunshine streaming in through the patio doors. Home to plenty of utensils and appliances, culinary preparations will be a breeze in this self-catering home, topped off with relaxed mealtimes around the dining area’s table and chairs. When it’s time to unwind, tread across to the lounge, peppered with quirky authentic features and designed around an attractive wood burner, and switch on the TV for a film night. Once Rover has had sufficient belly scratches for the time being, let yourself give into tiredness and head upstairs to one of the two tasteful bedrooms.

Outside you can savour moments in the cottage’s pretty enclosed courtyard garden as well as making use of the large enclosed garden (perfect for games of fetch), located on the other side a shared driveway. If you can manage to tear yourself away, there are all sorts of lovely walks around the village, not to mention plenty of great amenities too. For sandy-pawed adventures, head to the coast and emerge on Eype beach (4 miles), a year-round dog-friendly paradise.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Good location to explore the area. We had a problem with the boiler but Katy and Clive were very accommodating and did their best to get it fixed as soon as possible.

Beautiful cottage, ideal location, spotlessly clean and the owners have equipped it with everything you could possibly need. A real home from home.
