Steeped in fascinating Scottish history, this unique wooden holiday lodge makes a perfect base for exploring Argyll and the Islands. Here you will wake up to incredible views across the beautiful Loch Fyne, with the lounge area opening directly onto the shore. Sleeping four, there’s even room for up to two furry friends, who are sure to love getting sandy paws as they have a ball by the water’s edge.
The quaint lodge is dotted with cosy country details throughout to help make the whole family feel at home. The dogs will love curling up beside the patio doors and watching the wildlife on the shore, while you relax beside them on the comfortable sofas, buttery popcorn in-hand, watching your favourite family film. On warmer evenings, or perhaps before the day’s activities have begun, venture out onto the decking area and drink in the incredible, far-reaching loch views, which are simply stunning whatever the weather.
Follow the Crinan Canal on foot or by bike, journeying through idyllic Scottish countryside from Ardrishaig to Crinan - a route known as Scotland’s most beautiful shortcut. It’s a great spot for fishing, paddling and boating too, so there’s really something for everyone. Spend your days exploring castles, ruins and clan seats in the area, including Castle Sween (18.5 miles) - thought to be the oldest castle on the Scottish mainland - and Kilmartin Glen’s famous stone circles (14 miles). Energetic families (with their equally energetic canine companions) will also love Dunadd Fort (8 miles), where the ancient kings of Scotland were crowned and extraordinary carvings can be found.
