Don’t forget to pack Rover’s favourite blankets so while you spend time relaxing, he can recharge ready for another day of canine adventures. Set within walking distance of several pubs and restaurants, if you don’t fancy cooking you can head out instead. After a good night’s sleep, you will wake up to views over the beach, reminding you how close to the sea this holiday sets you. Enjoy your morning coffee on the shared lawn while Fido stretches his legs.
There is a wide range of amenities in West Bay including bars, cafes and restaurants and swathes of pebble beach. Stick to the East Cliff and your four-legged friend will be welcome here too. Soak up incredible scenery by heading along the South West Coast Path to discover more of the Jurassic Coast or hop on a boat trip from the harbour to Lyme Regis (11 miles). Further afield the market town of Bridport (2 miles) has a wealth of shops and a range of intriguing vintage curios. If the sea air and salty water play havoc with your canine’s hair, there are dog grooming facilities available just 3 miles away.
