Escape to the Scottish countryside at this fabulous cottage in Angus. Up to eight guests can experience wonderful walks nearby and enjoy the abundance of wildlife on the doorstep.
Spend time with family and friends, and up to three canine companions, in this elegantly converted former farmstead. Sleeping eight people, the cottage has everything needed for a comfortable stay in the Angus countryside. There's a laundry room with washing machine and dryer, handy for damp walking gear and dog towels, a cosy lounge with open fire and a lovely big garden for a game of fetch. At the foot of the spectacular Angus Glens, and 15.5 miles from the Glen Doll Ranger Centre, there are walks aplenty.
Spacious living areas and colourful soft furnishings make this a stylish home-from-home for your group holiday. Four-legged friends have more than enough space to stretch out beside you, whether you're cooking in the bright kitchen/diner, eating a meal all together in the dining room, or relaxing in the lounge. There are no stairs either, so weary legs and excitable paws can rest easy when it comes to bedtime. While you choose which of the four pretty bedrooms to sleep in, your hound will reserve the best seat in the house to curl up: the warm spot by the fire. Wake to the sight of countryside views through the bedroom windows, and take your breakfast outside to the seating as your dog sniffs their way across the wide garden lawn.
In Kirriemuir (5.5 miles) you can stock up on food and treats in the supermarket, browse the local shops, and order lunch at the dog-friendly cafe. Visit J. M. Barrie's Birthplace, and kids can play on the Peter Pan Park while pups bound around on the large grassy field beside it. At Glamis Castle (11 miles) the gardens are open to dogs on leads, and there is The Walled Garden, The Italian Garden, and two trails to discover. Further on, take a drive west and wander through the woodland to see the impressive Reekie Linn Waterfall (15 miles).
