In this romantic cottage for two, you can spend your evenings lounging in a relaxing hot tub and your days surfing and sunbathing. Situated on the edge of the Cornish surfing town of Bude, this charming home-from-home provides the perfect base from which to explore the coast, countryside and cliff-top walks this area is famous for, with your two canine companions along for the trip. Packed with quirky period features and little added extras, this holiday hideaway could soon be the backdrop to your next Cornish adventure.
After leaving your vehicle in the large gravelled drive area, you’ll step into the spacious open-plan kitchen/lounge area with a separate dining room in the adjoining conservatory. After satisfying your hunger pangs with the complimentary cream tea, you’ll head into the cosy double bedroom to unpack. No doubt you’ll want to jump straight into the comfortable double bed that’s tucked away under wooden beams, but before that, you should definitely head outside for a quick dip in the hot tub before lighting the wood burner in the lounge, ready for a toasty snuggle with Fido before bedtime.
Bude itself can be found within 7 miles and, in addition to the six different beaches that are dotted along the coast, you will find an excellent selection of shops, supermarkets, cafes and pubs. Holsworthy is a little closer to home, just 3 miles from the cottage, with a village shop where you can stock up on your essentials. For something a little different, travel 9 miles to Tamar Lakes Country Park and surround yourself in the great British countryside. With off-road woodland trails along with more accessible footpaths for the less mobile, this is a fantastic day out for all the family – including the four-legged members!
