With a quiet shingle beach literally on the doorstep and boasting panoramic sea views, this single-storey coastal home is ideally located for a relaxing break in the salty sea air. Sleeping six, plus one furry friend, it’s perfect for families or groups of friends, and offers an abundance of things to see and do nearby.

The beach house is spacious and airy, with a focus on sociable, open-planned living. It’s decorated with a subtle nautical aesthetic, perfectly complimenting the property’s picturesque setting. Unwind in the lounge/kitchen/diner, opening the French doors to bring the outside in or on cooler evenings, fire up the wood burner and snuggle on the sofas as you watch your favourite TV shows or a DVD. While you will spend your days exploring the stunning local area, by night you might find yourself toasting marshmallows over the firepit in the beach garden after a delicious BBQ dinner, perhaps enjoying a twilight beach walk from the gate at the end of the garden, which gives direct access onto the shingle shore.

Pevensey Bay is ideal for sailing, swimming…or doggy paddling, and is also a popular fishing spot amongst the locals. For a more bustling seaside visit, head to the Sovereign Harbour Marina at Eastbourne (3 miles), enjoying a spot of lunch in one of the many restaurants or cafes as you admire the boats moored there. Families will love Drusilla’s Park at Alfriston (11 miles), offering a fantastic day out with lemurs, penguins, and even a family splash park, while closer to your home away from home, Pevensey Castle (1.5 miles) is well worth exploring with your canine companion.

Wonderful location whatever the weather - we loved watching the stormy wet times from the comfort of the house - and getting outside when the sun was shining. House was equipped with everything you need for a relaxing time away. Great walks from the front door and lots to see/do within a short drive to Eastbourne, Bexhill or the Sovereign Marina.

Very comfortable and incredibly well equipped house. Had a great stay over Christmas. The house was decorated nicely for Christmas and a very generous and thoughtful Christmas themed welcome pack on our arrival. Great views right on the beachfront. A lovely house.

'Waves' is a really lovely place. We spent a relaxing few days watching the view. Pubs within walking distance along with basic shops. A very special place.

Very comfortable cottage in perfect location on the beach. Had a magical 5 days by the sea. Weather was mixed but this did not detract from our holiday. Lots of walking with our dog who just loves the seaside. Great restaurants with very friendly staff in Pevensey. Would highly recommend.

The bungalow is located on the beach with amazing views. The furnishings are of a good standard and the home is very well equipped. There are lots of interesting and stylish touches. Perfect for a relaxing beach getaway.

We loved this holiday let on the beach so much so we did not want to leave. The stunning views out of the living area of the sea was out of this world. It was so nice to walk out of the garden onto the beach with your morning coffee and watch the sunrise. The fire pit in the garden was such a nice touch in the evenings. What a beautiful property in a stunning location! I enjoyed every moment of our family holiday spent in The Beach Hive. The property is so well equipped, comfortable and spotlessly clean. I would certainly recommend for families and dogs of all ages!
