Beautiful cottage, refurbished in 2020, with hot tub and garden. Set in the heart of coastal Aberaeron, perfect to walk to restaurants, shops, beach and explore West Wales’ coast and countryside.
Wake to the sound of seagulls from this exquisite holiday home in the colourful coastal resort of Aberaeron. It’s perfect for couples or a family and two of their canine pals. When you’re not exploring the coast, countryside and culture of Ceredigion, jump in the hot tub that takes centre stage in the property’s coastal-themed garden. While you sip a glass of fizz, the furry ones can sit and gaze adoringly at you in the hope of snaffling a biscuity treat.
The welcoming open-plan living area is super-stylish, with modern lighting and sleek furniture, but doesn’t stint on home comforts. While you’re in the kitchen getting creative with fresh produce bought from a local market or deli, fling open the patio doors to the enclosed garden so the dogs can wander in and out. Positioned under a feature glass ceiling, the dining table is a glamorous setting for mealtimes, or you can dine alfresco at the hand-crafted table outdoors. The lounge is very inviting for contented canines who want to cosy up by the glow of the wood burner while the rest of you play board games. Upstairs, choose from two sumptuous bedrooms, including an en-suite king-size room where you can enjoy sea views from the Juliet balcony.
Aberaeron has two beaches on either side of its attractive harbour. While seasonal restrictions apply on South Beach, dogs are free to bound around and dig holes in the sand on North Beach. Walk part of the Wales Coast Path from Aberaeron to Aberystwyth (16 miles) or sniff out some culture on the famous Dylan Thomas Trail around New Quay. The town’s Harbour Beach (8 miles) is dog-friendly all year round, while boat trips offer you and your hairy chums the chance to spot dolphins frolicking in the bay.
