There’s also a bright and spacious kitchen/diner where you can relax, enjoy a meal and plan the next day’s adventures. There are three comfortable bedrooms. Outside, you can enjoy a meal or a drink in the pretty patio area, and there’s a shared picnic area and BBQ to enjoy. Children can let off steam in the play barn and the adventure playground with its zip wire, and there are opportunities for squash, five-a-side football, fishing, snooker and skittles. A new sports hall is due to open in 2019 where you can play badminton, tennis, netball and football – this should be booked direct with the owner.
The pretty town of Crediton (9 miles) features a choice of great shops, restaurants and dog-friendly pubs. There are plenty of wonderful country walks throughout the area or you could visit the popular and bustling city of Exeter (17 miles) for a day’s shopping and sightseeing. Heading to Dartmoor, you and the dogs can explore the breathtaking landscape and discover beautiful secluded walks. Dogs are welcome at the National Trust’s Killerton Estate (21 miles) and Castle Drogo (14.5 miles), and the ruins of English Heritage’s Okehampton Castle (13.5 miles).
