Stylish detached cottage perfect for a luxurious romantic getaway. Relax and unwind in the private hot tub, enjoy al fresco dining in the enclosed garden or cosy nights in front of the wood burner.

Enjoy a romantic getaway at this charming home with your tail-wagging third wheel by your side. Let them run free in the enclosed garden whilst you relax in the hot tub after salty days on the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Filled with country charm and creature comforts, this home is the perfect place to unwind and becomes a cosy haven at night when you fire up the wood burner.

Step inside this gate lodge and make use of the handy utility room where you can ensure muddy pawprints aren’t dotted throughout the house and soggy fur is dried off. After adventures, settle in the inviting lounge where tranquil hues and comfortable sofas whisk you into holiday mode. Throw a log on the wood burner to keep tails and toes warm before rustling up treats for all in the kitchen where a splash of gold brings the space alive and there is a coffee machine to help you rise and shine before morning dog walks. Enjoy sundowners and BBQs in the pretty garden and treat yourselves to a wee dram or two before bed. The charm continues into the tranquil bedroom and the fabulously sleek, contemporary bathroom where you can start your day with a soak.

The historic, local town of Duns has plenty of places to eat so you can enjoy date night dinners out and about and treat your pup to some tasty titbits without straying far from your door. Just 10.5 miles away is Paxton House where dogs are welcomed in the grounds and tearoom, or make the 32-mile trip to Bamburgh – the perfect place to keep everyone entertained. Bamburgh is home to a dog-friendly beach where your pup can scatter pawprints across the sand and chase sticks by the sea, a golf course and the Grace Darling Museum.

We had high expectations for this property after reading the reviews. Sadly the hot tub area is most disappointing. The cover for the tub was broken and very dirty. It was a challenge to lift & return the cover. The area is neglected, cover from bbq lying on patio, table dirty and a very annoying spot light that came on every time you moved! Just back from an amazing week in this beautiful cottage, spotlessly clean, very welcoming, everything you need for a relaxing holiday! Stayed there with our one year old daughter and everything was catered for. Location is great so close to so many great towns, Duns was lovely itself and had everything you need close by.

Very lovely cottage and we really enjoyed our stay. A great base for discovering the many castles and stately homes as well as the spectacular coastal walks. Not being able to let our dog into the garden first thing in a morning to do her business was a pain. Garden/ hot tub area wasnt as well kept as the lodge needs some attention

Comfortable. Convenient location. Nicely furnished and equipped. Space enough for a couple and a small to medium dog. Close to a main road but you're really not aware of it once inside - I'd take that over two miles of pot holes to some rural secluded place. Thank you.
