A splendid country cottage, one of a small number on this secluded country estate, an idyll for wildlife lovers, artists, hill walkers and photographers

Situated at the top of Glen Lyon, within the quaint clachan of Pubil, this delightful holiday cottage is surrounded by the beautiful rolling hills and serene rivers of the Perthshire countryside. Walkers with two and four legs alike will enjoy the variety of Munros on the doorstep, with sunny afternoons spent exploring the incredible landscape. Recently refurbished and an ideal base for a family retreat, this pretty cottage sleeps five and two canine companions.

Blending seamlessly with the splendid views surrounding the property, the interior has plenty of country charm with carefully considered decor and homely furnishings. Sit back on the colourful sofas in the sitting room while your four-pawed pal curls up in front of the multi-fuel stove. Adjacent, there's a lovely dining area where you can enjoy home-cooked meals alongside views of the river. Perfectly equipped with rustic wooden cabinets and an oil-fired AGA, you can cook up a storm in this country kitchen. Downstairs, you'll find the stylish and modern bathroom where you can refresh after a day in the countryside. Three bright, airy and lovingly decorated bedrooms are located on the first floor and ensure a good night's sleep. Let your waggy-tailed companions bounce around the large enclosed garden while you spot hares, deer and even golden eagles from the sunny seating area.

Nearby, there's a plethora of wonderful places to visit with your hounds. Walk through the Birks of Aberfeldy and visit the variety of wonderful dog-friendly eateries that Aberfeldy has to offer, 30 miles away. Closer to home there's the Tay Forest Park and Loch Tay, so bring a picnic and wander around the scenic shores and sun-dappled woodlands. Lovely villages such as Fortingall and Bridge of Balgie are worth visiting for more scenic walks and exploration.

Great cottage . Great place well off the beaten track, throughly enjoyed our stay. It is 19 miles from the main road which takes an hour. So go prepared. It really was peacefull, fully recharged and relaxed, would definitely book this cottage again

Wonderful break away, we stayed at Vannoch Cottage and the owners went above and beyond making our stay wonderful, the Christmas tree and decorations, the wine and biscuits were a lovely touch, the cottage is Rural which affords peace and tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, the wildlife was stunning and sitting in the evenRead moreing with the log burner blazing was memorising. There was great internet however I would highly recommend to all staying at this cottage to unplug. 5* Hide

Beautiful cottage, stunning scenery, we really didnt want to leave. We met the owners who were lovely and very helpful. It is really well equipped with tasteful furnishings and the trip into Pubil from the main roads is at least a careful 60min drive but again the scenery is amazing. We saw 2 golden eagles and an Osprey which was unforgettable.

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location, the cottage was well equipped and lovely and cosy after a long walk. The wild birds in the well stocked bird feeders was lovely to watch from the kitchen window as were the deer when you could see them through the trees.

A lovely cottage that is very remote and peaceful. Perfect if you want to disconnect and be away from people and immerse yourself in nature. It was very clean and well equipped and also warm and cozy with a lovely aga. Great for dogs and the garden is a decent size although a large dog could jump over the wall so not secure. Great location with amazing views the cottage was clean comfortable and warm. The view from every window is amazing. The Aga was an unexpected experience but manageable. The cottage is in a fabulous location, Glen Lyon is gorgeous although it will take you an hour to get to Aberfeldy for shops, pubs and restaurants so don't run out of milk! The cottage is spacious, well furnished and very comfortable. We brought our three dogs and its great to find such dog friendly accommodation. We had a lovely time at Vannoch Cottage. Lovely cottage, lovely layout and had all the comforts we needed. We loved waking up to the amazing views and the peaceful surroundings. Me and my friend and our two dogs stayed here for a week and enjoyed ourselves so much. The cottage is pretty and light and bright and comfortable, just right. The views and setting are just AMAZING and we both really enjoyed trying the Aga, it was a new thing for both of us and we were both sad to leave it!
