With its bright, fresh décor and characterful sloping ceilings and beams, this charming property is a wonderful place to relax when you and your canines return from a refreshing walk. The exposed stone wall creates a charming ambience and the large windows allow plenty of light in. The adjacent shower room, with hand basin and WC, is bright and fresh and ideal for two. Step outside at the end of the day and enjoy a drink as the sun sets in the walled patio area. If you’ve still got energy to burn, then there is a shared on-site tennis court to enjoy.

The local pub welcomes four-legged friends and serves both lunch and evening meals. Being on the doorstep of the glorious Peak District, you will find walks galore for all members of the family. The beautiful gardens of Thornbridge Hall, just 8 miles away are dog-friendly, and stunning Chatsworth House 7.5 miles away is also well worth a visit, although the estate owners do request that dogs are kept on a lead. If we didnt have the ability to make the holiday as enjoyable as we could ourselves we would have gone home on the day we arrived. Excellent choice for a couple. We hired to give our dog a break from the fireworks. It was perfect, quiet, secluded with very little passing traffic. We all came away relaxed including the dog !!

Absolutely fantastic holiday. The Hayloft was very clean and well laid out. There is plenty of room in the lounge/bedroom and I couldnt fault the Hayloft. The location is amazing with very little traffic. There are plenty of walks around Birchover so no real need to get in your car. Both the pubs in the village serve good food but the Hayloft has aRead more excellent kitchen if you do want to cook. One thing to remember is there is no shop in Birchover so bring what you need (milk, bread etc) Hide

Currently due to COVID the cottage is asking the guests to clean and disinfect the property. However the checkout time remains at 10am which means an early start. Had I known this prior to booking the property, I would have requested a later check-out time.
