Located in the Carsington Water Region of the Peak District National Park, this property is perfectly positioned to enjoy the many walks, cycle routes and watersports the area has to offer.

This quirky and cosy first-floor property in the heart of rural Derbyshire is ideal for a couple with up to two dogs as a romantic getaway. Come rain or shine, you and your furry brood can set out from the front door and enjoy beautiful walks through the spectacular rolling scenery of the Peak District.

With its bright, fresh décor and characterful sloping ceilings and beams, this charming property is a wonderful place to relax when you and your canines return from a refreshing walk. Enter the first floor of this ivy-clad stone property via the external flight of stone steps. Once inside you will find a welcoming, compact kitchen with all the amenities you might need, along with a breakfast bar for two. Next door there is a comfortable studio sitting area with a sofa, coffee table, double bed and TV, perfect for romantic evenings in with your canine chum at your feet. The exposed stone wall creates a charming ambience and the large windows allow plenty of light in. The adjacent shower room, with hand basin and WC, is bright and fresh and ideal for two. Step outside at the end of the day and enjoy a drink as the sun sets in the walled patio area. If you’ve still got energy to burn, then there is a shared on-site tennis court to enjoy.

The local pub welcomes four-legged friends and serves both lunch and evening meals. Being on the doorstep of the glorious Peak District, you will find walks galore for all members of the family. The beautiful gardens of Thornbridge Hall, just 8 miles away are dog-friendly, and stunning Chatsworth House 7.5 miles away is also well worth a visit, although the estate owners do request that dogs are kept on a lead. Alternatively head to Bakewell, just 5 miles away, for scenic walks along the River Wye and a slice of the famous pudding to round off your day.

The shared tennis court will be open to guests but please bring your own rackets and balls.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Cottage is in a lovely area and we were very private. There are fantastic walks straight from the doorstep. There is not a separate bedroom and more importantly no washing machine.
