Real oldy worldy(with all the amenities of today)We both needed a quiet break. A previous review stated that the cottage needed to be updated - no it didn't. If we had opened the door to this beautiful old building to 'Ikea' furnishings we would have been really disappointed. It was clean and cosy. Lovely place to stay! It's nice and quiet, nice view of the sheep outside! Good kitchen facilities, me and my friends were able to cook several meals with no problem. Well placed for getting onto the main roads to get to nearby Corbridge and Hexham. Plenty of maps for people who want to go walking in the local area.

Very pleasant and quiet holiday accomodation. Comfortably accomodated 2 adults and 3 kids and a small dog. Property has a mostly private and completely secure garden for the dog. Other reviews have mentioned the interior looking dated and whilst this is true of some of the furniture it is all functional and in full working order and the kitchen is Read morewell equipped. Washing and drying facilities at the accomodation definitely a bonus for us. Overall despite it raining all week we had a good holiday. Hide

Fabulous cottage in a beautiful location. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and well-equipped, and the host charming, helpful and relaxed. The village was very quiet, so probably not the best choice for anyone wanting to walk to a village pub/shop but that is certainly not meant as a criticism, as we really enjoyed ourselves. We have just returned home from a weeks holiday and it was wonderful. We loved where the cottage was situated and the views were breath-taking.
